AWA Australia: Australian Championship Bracket Two Results

AWA Australia Presents: Australian Championship Tournament Bracket 2

Well folks this is it, the show that will decide just who will be competing in the main event of Anniversary II alongside TNT and The Shark to crown the very first AWA Australian Champion. Now for the results….

The Show kicked off with the first round of bracket two and in the first match current AAW Champion NC Viper went up against the dominate force of Jarrad Slate.

The two men warmed up the crowd, then shook hands and got the match underway. Slate took advantage outwrestling the power house. The match was very even but Slate gain the victory when he countered Viper's Sidewinder into a crucifix pin.

Following that match AWA Australia fans were treated to the debuting Ryan Eagles from Sydney. Mark Valour entered first to a chorus of jeers then it was Ryan Eagles who come out to a big pop and was over with the crowd as soon as he walked through the curtain.

Eagles took Valour to school taking him down to the matt countless times then started to work him arm. Once Valour got back to his feet Eagles was still dominate and Valour as introduced to some nice chops in the corner which and the entire audience popping with each slap. Valour then cheated his way back into the match and worked down Eagles with some big moves. In the end it was Ryan Eagles gaining the victory after making Valour tap out to a modified figure four leg lock. Ryan Eagles will now meet Jarrad Slate in the Semi-Final

Now its time for the final match of bracket two. Current AAW Independent Champion Jake Paragon has been on a roll lately. However Paragon has so many distractions right now. He has David Adams breathing down his neck for his championship, a shot at being AWA Australian Champion and do get that shot must go through Rave which means this is not going to be easy.

For Rave, its all or nothing. He has told us that he has never been more focused on anything in this life and he will stop at nothing to take that championship. Bracket Two is probably one of the toughest brackets so far and Rave is going to have to over come adversity if he is even to get a shot.

The two men make there way to the ring and Rave quickly finds out that he is going to have to use his knowledge and speed to take down the monster that is Jake Paragon. The match was a pretty even contest and saw some amazing displays of passion from both contestants. There was a part of the match where Rave leaped over the top rope and was caught by Paragon then scoop slammed from the ring to the floor! Both men put there bodies on the line but in the end it was was Rave who overcome the odds and score a pinfall on Jake Paragon and will now meet either Ryan Eagles or Jarrad Slate in the final later in the night!

Now that round one of bracket two was out the way we go back to action with David Adams taking on Dustin Dice. This bout was highly entertaining and fast paced with both mens styles being very similar. David Adams the currently number one contender for the Independent Championship however made a simple mistake in the match and the veteran Dustin Dice took advantage of the situation and score a pin fall victory over the contender. This can not be good for the confidence of young David Adams as he prepares for his upcoming championship match.

Its semi final time! Jarrad Slate vs Ryan Eagles. The winner will face Rave in the main event and the winner of that match go on to face The Shark & TNT at Anniversary 2 for the AWA Australian Championship. This was a highly entertaining match which saw a different side of Ryan Eagles. Eagles become more aggressive and started to ignore the fans. Slate kept is cool during the match which allowed him to pick up on Eagles mistakes and at times embarrass him much to the crowds delight. Slate was once again dominate in this match however it was the more experienced Ryan Eagles who once again made another victim tap out to his devastating submission move. Your winner and the man the will go the the final of bracket two..Ryan Eagles!

Ebinizah then announced that it was time for the Contract Match between Craven and The Shark. Craven has been showing up to AWA Australia uninvited and has been getting involved in other peoples business and Ebinizah has had enough. At AWA Action last month Craven crashed The Shark celebration Ceremony and now will face that man for a contract to once again be an active competitor in the AWA. The two took no time at all to get into the match as it started of with big right hands from both wrestlers. Craven saw an opening and took it hitting a lou thez press on Shark to which the crowd went crazy. Shark was then quick to cut Craven off and once again take control. Towards the end of the match Craven feed of the crowd and started to fire back on Shark but was once again stopped in his tracks. Shark went to the outside and grabbed a Chair but it was at that point where we heard the familiar music of one..KILLAH! Killah made his return to AWA Australia and took the chair off Shark and choked him in the ropes. Craven then capitalized with a bulldog but the referee was down from an incident before hand. Craven covered The Shark but to no luck, he then checked on the referee and Shark cheap shot Craven. Made a cover then on two Rave run out pull shark from the ring and hit the PU! Shark was thrown back in the ring and Craven hit his finisher for the win. Craven now is now officially back in AWA Australia!

Kid Kapri made his way to the ring and took the mic. The talked about the fact the feels he no longer needs to find a tag team partner as he is good enough by himself. He then announced that he is good enough to be a tag team himself! Kapri then challenged two people to wrestle him in a handicap tag team. The challenge was answered by B-Money and Percy T Longwinkler. B-Money and Percy worked well as a unit and and had fun working on Kapri together. During the match Money and Percy hit a row boat on Kapri which got the crowd going. Kapri did well in the match but was no match for the two. In the end it was Percy that managed to get the roll up and score a pin fall for his team!

Main Event

This is it. The match we have been waiting for since Brackets One and Three finished. Once this match is over the main event of the biggest event on the calendar will be known. Ebinizah made his way to the ring for the traditional Main Event introductions. After the introduction Ryan Eagles decided it wasn’t good enough and did is own introduction again. The bell rings and the two men circle the ring. The two lock up then Eagles bails from the ring claiming that Rave pulled his hair. Eagles gets back in the ring once again the two lock up and Eagles overpowers Rave and throws him to the floor. Both men then standing then battle it out with some nice chain wrestling ending in Rave taking control. Eagles then fought back and once again took control of the match. Both men gave 110% they took it inside and outside of the ring and with both switching control and outshining the other, Eagles hit a spinning neckbreaker from the ring to the outside then Rave hit a flapjack onto the entrance ramp. Then finish came when Rave went for the PU Piledriver which was then countered by Eagles then counted once again by Rave into sunsetflip for the three count. Eagles looked on shocked and could not believe what just happened. Rave is now going to headline Anniversary and has a shot at becoming AWA Australian Champion!
